Notice
As we previously communicated, the interest charge on the outstanding capital loan was passed through to the membership on your May statement this year. Unfortunately, our accounting system automatically added HST to the charge, which we didn’t catch until after everything had been sent to your accounts. After review it was determined that the simplest way to correct the issue was to fully credit the initial billing with the tax and then re-bill it without. As a result, on your account you will see an initial charge, a credit for the same amount and then a another charge for the original pre-tax amount. We apologize for this error and any inconvenience this may have caused.
EpiPens
For those members who have serious allergies, we have added EpiPens to a few key locations as an added safeguard for emergencies. New EpiPens will be located in the Golf Shop, at the starter’s desk, at the Halfway House, in the washrooms on 14 and other locations throughout the Clubhouse.
PGA Championship of Canada – June 25 through 29
Don’t forget that next week we are hosting the PGA Championship of Canada, which was last held at Credit Valley 25 years ago and won by Steve Stricker. This year’s competition will consist of the 64 ranked players in the PGA of Canada’s order of merit. The participants represent the best Club Professionals from across the country and it will be a tremendous opportunity for us to showcase all that Credit Valley has to offer. Monday the course is closed until 3:00 pm for the official practice round and then Tuesday and Wednesday players compete in a 36-hole stroke play event to qualify for the final 16; which then converts to match play for Thursday and Friday. Members will have access to the course for play Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon as well as throughout the day on Thursday and Friday when match play begins. For full details and course availability please contact the Golf Shop or check the online calendar on the CV website.
Driving Range
Just a reminder to everyone that balls should not be hit past the mound on the range; and if you see someone who is not adhering to that rule, please point them out to a member of the golf services team immediately. We must have a zero tolerance policy on balls leaving the property and we need your help to make sure everyone is in compliance.
Electronic Caddy Storage
Although we still expect to have a bit of a wait list, we have added a number of spaces to our electronic caddy storage capacity (as of the end of this week), so if you have an electronic caddy that you are looking to store and charge here at the Club, please contact Donovan to get your name on the list.
